This map of the Kulu Valley is not exactly to scale, and is
offered for reference purposes only. Roads and tracks have
a funny way of changing their status in this area, so routes
marked as 'tracks' on this map may have changed into strips
of freshly laid blacktop, and what was fresh tarmac when we
were last up it could have been reduced to potholes by the
monsoon.
The Kullu Valley map has been compiled
from a combination of personal experience and existing maps,
including a couple of 'tourism' maps, and the most recent
offcial Survey of India Map of the area (the "Trekking
Route Map of Himachal Pradesh"), last updated in 1976. |
